Directions to FUMC

First United Methodist Church is located west of Lancaster, in the borough of Millersville. Locally, it is often identified by its architecture (the "A-frame") or its location, adjacent to the campus of Millersville University.

From Route 30 & 283: exit on Rte. 741. On Route 741 east, the name Rohrerstown Road will change to Millersville Road. About four miles beyond Route 30, turn right at the light onto Route 999. At the third traffic light (after Route 741), bear left onto George Street. Follow George Street. After you cross West Cottage Ave., you will see University buildings on either side. Watch for The A-frame on the right.

From Lancaster City: either proceed west on Rte. 462 (Columbia Ave.) to Rte. 741 and turn left (south) until the junction of 741 & 999, then turn right onto 999 and follow it as it turns left onto N. George St. and follow the map below OR take Rte. 999 (Manor Ave.) to the intersection of 741 & 999 and proceed through the light following 999 until it turns left onto George St. and follow the map below.

Parking is available in several of the parking lots that are immediately adjacent to the Church on the property of Millersville University. Campus officials are aware of the Church's use of this space and are happy to accommodate us as long as we follow posted parking regulations. The driveway to the north of the Church is the easiest way to access parking. Parking for those with handicapping conditions is permitted in the area directly in front of the church during worship services.
